ROBERT F. DESANTIS , AIA
PRINCIPAL
Bob joined the firm in 1971 and became a partner in 1978. He received his architectural degree from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio, in 1968. After serving two years in the Army and Vietnam, he became registered to practice architecture in 1974. He was instrumental in founding Explorer Post 233, Red Bank, for students interested in the architectural profession and has mentored students from local high schools since 1976. He is a past president of the Red Bank Community YMCA, and served on its Board of Directors, Board of Trustees, and Corporate Property Management Committee. He is past chair and presently sits on the board of management of the Camp Zehnder branch of The Community YMCA. He is past president of the Red Bank Rotary Club, and past chairman of the Rotary Foundation. Bob is also former advisor to the Middletown Landmarks Commission, served on the Red Bank Historic District Commission and was chairman of the Advisory Committee to the Shoal Harbor Marine Museum. He provided coaching and management leadership to the Lincroft Soccer League and Lincroft Little League and is a member of the Board of Trustees and the Property Committee of The Rumson Country Day School.
Bob is past president of the Shore Chapter of Architects, a former member of the Board of Directors of the New Jersey Society of Architects, and served on the AIA, New Jersey Government Affairs Committee. In 2002 he received both the AIA Jersey Shore Architect of the Year Award and the AIA New Jersey Architect of the Year Award. Bob is a licensed architect in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania; and he holds an NCARB Certificate.
